Getting Started with SpatialScale

Ready to dive into your first project on SpatialScale? Let's get you started with creating a dataset and visualizing it in no time!

Step 1: Create Your Dataset

Once you’re registered and logged in, it’s time to add some data:

  1. Navigate to Datasets: Head over to the Datasets page.

  2. Click ‘+ Create’: You’ll find this button waiting for you.

  3. Name Your Dataset: Give your new dataset a clear, memorable name.

  4. Select Data Type: Choose the type of data you’re working with from the dropdown menu.

  5. Add Details (Optional): You can provide a description and spatial reference if needed.

  6. Click ‘Save’: Your dataset is now ready to roll!

Step 2: Upload Your Data

Now, let’s get some data onto the platform:

  1. Select Files: Click ‘Select your file(s) to upload’.

  2. Upload: Hit the ‘Upload Files’ button, and you’re good to go!

Step 3: Create a Scene

Time to visualize your dataset and bring your project to life:

  1. Explore: Click ‘Explore’ in the vertical navigation bar.

  2. Open Data Catalog: Click the ‘+ Add Resources’ button in the Table of Contents.

  3. Add to Map: Choose your dataset of interest and click ‘Add to the map’.

  4. Done?: Click the ‘Done’ button to close the Data Catalog.

  5. Save (Optional): Save your current view as a new project by clicking ‘Save Map’.

And that’s it! You’ve just created and visualized your first dataset on SpatialScale. Ready to explore more?
